Types of environmental changes that we need to be aware of

types-of-environmental-changes

Vegans don’t eat anything of animal origin, and they will tell you that veganism has improved their lives, helping them look and feel better. For many, though, being a vegan is like a kind of a philosophy and not so much a diet. They say that veganism is a good choice for feeding the world’s burgeoning populations. In spite of the many types of environmental changes we are facing, they tell us veganism has a low environmental footprint. The truth is . When you look at certain areas in the world, you can see that agriculture has been massively destructive. The massive, uncontrolled human populations mean massive ecosystems being destroyed to plant more and more crops to feed more and more people. The types of environmental changes we are seeing because of forests being chopped down to make way for crops is devastating. Flooding, droughts, insects and crazy temperatures are making it that soon we won’t be able to grow crops. Yes, veganism can do many positive things for our health, but at what price for our ailing planet?

Water pollution awareness – A must for future survival

Our world is in trouble and we are witnessing more natural disasters than ever before. Global warming and water pollution are two major environmental problems that the entire world needs to be concerned about. Water is crucial for life and the world just can’t afford to be a silent witness to the water sources being polluted. Water pollution awareness in different countries hopes to find solutions to problems with this very scarce resource. There is to be a collaboration between scientists from New Zealand and China with Lincoln to host NZ-China water research centre. The centre is to develop research strategies on how to bring about more water pollution awareness by looking at issues such as the contamination of both ground- and surface water as well as poor water usage in agriculture, in both China and New Zealand. The establishment of the water research centre as it works towards a better quality water and therefore better food production is also going to boost relations between these two countries in their efforts to save water.
